To celebrate the Flint Firebirds’ 10th anniversary season, I designed a special warmup jersey worn before every home game throughout the year. The jersey prominently features the custom 10th Anniversary logo I created, paired with a hand-illustrated Flint city skyline, drawn in Adobe Illustrator to highlight the team's roots.
Around the base of the jersey, I incorporated a subtle brick pattern — a tribute to the historic bricks that line the streets of downtown Flint. On the sleeves, I showcased the city's iconic arches, further grounding the design in local pride. The color palette was thoughtfully matched to align with 'The Crim,' the jersey’s sponsor and beneficiary, ensuring a unified and meaningful look that celebrated both the team’s milestone and its connection to the Flint community.
Following the season, the warmup jerseys were auctioned off and raised $24,800.00 for the Crim Foundation, directly supporting their mission to promote health, wellness, and active living across the Flint area.

This illustration was created in Adobe Illustrator and is inspired by the Flint Michigan skyline. It was created to be used at a large scale on this jersey, and to be as accurate to the iconic buildings in Flint, as possible. It has also been used in various graphics surrounding the 10th Anniversary Season.
When the Flint Firebirds partnered with Hurley Children’s Hospital for a special promotional night, I had the opportunity to design a one-of-a-kind Minecraft-themed jersey and collaborate with a local vendor on a matching merchandise collection.
Inspired by Minecraft’s iconic style, I designed the front of the jersey with “BIRDS” — a shortened, casual moniker for the Firebirds — in the instantly recognizable Minecraft font. This choice tied into the game's tradition of short, simple naming. Around the sleeves and socks, I created pixelated "ore" patterns, a direct nod to the mining elements central to Minecraft’s world-building. A small but meaningful detail was also added at the collar: a blocky tribute to Hot Wing, the Firebirds’ beloved mascot, seamlessly blending team spirit into the theme. To complete the look, I recolored the Firebirds’ 10th Anniversary logo (a design I also created) to match the jersey’s pixelated aesthetic.
On the back, a blocky cloud graphic frames the Hurley Children’s Hospital logo, symbolizing the cause behind the night. After the game, these jerseys were live-auctioned and helped raise over $25,700 for Hurley Children’s Hospital.
For Minecraft Night, I designed a full collection of themed elements to bring the event to life. Custom souvenir pucks featured pixel-style Flint Firebirds logos—adapted from a Minecraft-inspired template—and included the game date and opponent to serve as unique fan keepsakes. I also collaborated with a local vendor to create themed sweatshirts and t-shirts, incorporating custom pixel graphics for a cohesive look. Throughout the arena, matching signage and visual elements helped immerse fans in the blocky, nostalgic world of Minecraft—putting a fun, pixelated twist on the Firebirds’ traditional branding.
For the Flint Firebirds’ Flint Tropics-themed promotional night, I had the opportunity to design the full jersey and sock kit, custom game pucks, and select items from the merchandise collection. Inspired by the movie Semi-Pro, the jersey, socks, and puck all feature bold yellow stripes—a nod to Jackie Moon’s iconic sweatbands. While the jersey maintains the Firebirds’ traditional silhouette, it’s reimagined with vibrant, retro elements that give this year’s collection a fresh, standout feel. The game-worn jerseys were later auctioned off live, with proceeds benefiting the Flint Firebirds Foundation, adding a meaningful community impact to the night’s design work.
For Flint Tropics Night, I developed a themed merchandise collection designed to match the energy and humor of the evening. The lineup included a hat featuring the well-known Flint Tropics logo, keeping true to the retro spirit fans recognize. Two hoodies rounded out the collection—one with the original Tropics logo on the front, paired with the Firebirds’ 10th Anniversary logo in Tropics colors on one sleeve and the OHL logo on the other. The second hoodie featured a custom-designed MegaBowl Champions graphic, created in Adobe Illustrator, bringing a playful and memorable twist to mark the night’s success. Every piece in the collection was built to celebrate the event and give fans a fun, wearable keepsake.
This is a collection I designed for the Flint Firebirds' 2023 Military Night. The custom 'FNT' logo was created in Adobe Illustrator and was featured on 1/4 zip pullovers and made into a leather patch for hats, and game pucks.
This was a collection for the Flint Firebirds' 2024 playoff run. The "A Great Day for Hockey" playoff logo was created in Adobe Illustrator, as well as the puck design.
